Qualifications

BSc Music Technology, University of Paisley

Having gained the highest marks received by any student yet on this course (18 grade A’s out of a possible 24), I graduated ‘with distinction’ from Paisley University. Throughout this course, I have been able to gain a wide range of experience in all areas of music production, sound engineering and the related technology.

Recording and production on many different systems (both analogue and digital tape, HD, and software systems like Pro-tools, Logic and Cubase), live sound reinforcement and mixing, MIDI technology and applications and equipment design and technology are just a few of the many areas covered. Further to this, this course has allowed me to develop a great understanding about music industry related topics outside the direct field of production and technology. Modules in music business theory and the entertainment industry, video production, and internet and web design among others, have all provided me with a complete skill set usable in all areas of the music industry and completely transferable to any other field of employment.

Secondary School, St Andrews Academy in Paisley

During my five years at secondary school, I received five Higher Grade awards; Physics (A), Chemistry(A), Maths(B), English(B) and Modern Studies(C), and also eight Standard Grade awards (six grade 1’s and two grade 2’s).
